Mobile operators looking into presenting formal letter to Cabinet, requesting a minimum of 15 MHz of 4G spectrum per operator
Mobile network operators (MNOs) are looking into presenting a formal letter to the Cabinet, requesting a minimum of 15 MHz of 4G spectra for each MNO, according to unnamed sources. The National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) had offered 7.5 MHz of 4G spectra to each Vodafone Egypt (VFE) and Orange Egypt, while it offered 5 MHz to Etisalat Misr. NTRA is looking into combining the unwanted 4G spectra into one licence and offering it in an international bid. (Al Borsa)
