Mobile operators considering applying 1% of mobile voice revenue as management fees from Telecom Egypt for using their infrastructure
Mobile network operators (MNOs) are currently considering applying 1% of mobile voice revenue as management fees from Telecom Egypt (TE) [ETEL.CA] for using the former’s infrastructure, according to unnamed sources. MNOs had previously announced a bunch of technical services that will be offered to TE, in addition to the required annual investments and network expansions by the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA). The management agreement may have a duration of 10 years and the annual fee may be subject to annual increases throughout the duration of the agreement.
