Ministry of Petroleum starts implementing smart cards system
The government has started implementing smart cards system, Deputy Ministry of Petroleum for Transportation, Mohamed Othman, said. Smart cards are required for factories and electric power stations to receive petroleum products imports and the ministry is to decide the share for each factory according to its productive capacity, he said. Registered factories that do not have smart cards or unregistered factories will be denied form receiving the petroleum shipments, he added. (Al Borsa)
