Ministry of Electricity finalising negotiations to establish two coal-operated power plants for combined cUSD7 billion
The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has nearly finalised a deal with two Chinese firms, Shanghai Electric and Dong Fang, to establish two fossil fuel (coal) operated power plants. Total investments for the two projects are expected to range cUSD7 billion, according to sources speaking to Al Borsa. The Ministry had signed an MoU with the two Chinese firms during Egypt’s Economic Development Conference in March 2015. (Al Borsa)
