MCIT planning to boost mobile internet speed by 150%
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is planning to boost the mobile internet speed by 150% to 28Mbps, and to reach 45Mbps by 2020, according to Minister Abdullah bin Amer Alswaha. The Ministry is also planning on extending the fibre optic network to 700k households by year-end and 3.5mn by 2020, he added.
