Masdar CEO wants to double renewable power generation portfolio
UAE-based Masdar Abu Dhabi Future Energy Co. currently has 3 GW of renewable power generation assets in operation and another 3 GW in development, CEO Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi says in Bloomberg TV interview. The company hopes to win tender for first wind project in Saudi Arabia by end of year with bid submitted along with France’s EDF. It sees Saudi Arabia as one of largest opportunities for renewable energy in Middle East. The company is also looking to develop projects in U.S., Southeast Asia, China, Latin America and elsewhere in the Middle East.
