Maaden completes construction of ammonia plant, starts trial operations
Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) [1211.SE] has announced the completion of construction and start of trial operations of the ammonia plant in Waad Al Shamal phosphate project as of 06 September 2016. The company mentioned that the ammonia plant has an annual capacity of 1.1mn tonnes, and that the financial impact would be reflected as soon as the company announces commercial production. It is worth mentioning that Maaden, The Mosaic Company, and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) [2010.SE], own 60%, 25% and 15%, respectively, in Waad Al Shamal Phosphate project.
