Maaden commences initial production of copper concentrate at Jabal Sayed
Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) [1211.SE] announced that initial production of copper concentrate had commenced at the Jabal Sayed Copper Mine, which is owned by its subsidiary Maaden Barrick Copper Company (MBCC). According to the announcement, the estimated production capacity of the Jabal Sayed mine is between 45,000-60,000 tonnes per year (tpy). Maaden also noted that the financial impact of the mine will be considered, following the declaration of commercial production, which is expected to take place during 1Q2016. It is worth noting that MBCC is 50%-owned by Maaden. (Tadawul)
