Loan growth slows, while deposit growth improves slightly Y-o-Y in April
According to the central bank of UAE, gross loan growth in the system slowed to 6.7% Y-o-Y in April 2016 from 7.6% Y-o-Y in March 2016. Deposit growth improved to 4.0% Y-o-Y from 3.7% Y-o-Y as of March 2016. On a M-o-M basis gross loans contracted 0.1% while deposits shrunk by 0.2%. (Central Bank of UAE)
