Lebara KSA shows interest in 4G licence in Egypt

Lebara KSA, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) utilising Mobily’s [7020.SE] network, has shown interest in the upcoming 4G licence in Egypt, according to an official from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). Officials from Lebara KSA, amongst several other interested companies, will hold a meeting today with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Yasser Al Kady, to discuss their interest. Saudi Telecom Company (STC) [7010.SE], Zain Group [ZAIN.KW] and China Telecom have also expressed their interest in the licence.
