Labour and Housing ministries sign agreement for smoother foreign limit rules for Housing Ministry projects
Ministries of Labour and Housing are reported to have signed a five-year agreement to support contractors engaged in projects with the Ministry of Housing. Under the agreement, the Ministry of Labour will guarantee smoother visa procedures for foreign labour, provided a number of prerequisites are met and approval is provided by the Housing Ministry. Contractors, on the other hand, are required to restrict workers under the programme to projects with the Ministry of Housing, on a project-by-project basis, whereby these workers will be required to leave the country, right after their assigned project is complete. This is to support a smoother execution of projects by the Housing Ministry. (Argaam)
