Kuwait said to be finalising plans for USD10bn debt issuance
Bankers from at least 2 international banks flew to Kuwait City in first week of January to discuss the country’s plan to raise up to USD10bn in early 2017, the Financial Times reported, without citing sources. Kuwait yet to hire international banks for the debt issuance and could still delay timeframe to April or May 2017, the newspaper further stated, citing unidentified Gulf bankers. (Bloomberg)
