King Abdul Aziz Airport to begin operations by Jan 2019
The new Jeddah-based King Abdul Aziz International Airport is set to become fully operational by Jan 2019. However, pilot operation of the airport will begin as scheduled in May of this year. These operations will exclusively include Saudi Arabian Airlines only and will see more than eight flights a day, through six internal gates. The gradual lifting of the operation will take place until full readiness of the airport is complete. The airport has an estimated capacity of 30mn passengers per year.
