Kayan awards Wison Engineering with the debottlenecking of its ethyelene oxide plant
Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company (Kayan) [2350.SE] announced that it has awarded Wison Engineering the debottlenecking project for its ethylene oxide plant at its Jubail complex. According to the announcement, the estimated investment cost of the project stands at USD116mn, which will be financed through local financial institutions and is part of the company’s agreement with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to increase the allocation of ethane gas. The project is expected to be completed by 2H17 and would raise the company’s ethylene oxide capacity to 61,000 tonnes per year (tpy). (Tadawul)
