Jazeera Steel to appeal on US decision to impose 7.2% antidumping duty
Al Jazeera steel has announced that the United States Department of Commerce (DoC) has issued final anti-dumping margin/duty of 7.24% from Sultanate of Oman for the export of circular welded steel pipes to the Unites States of America. However the company decided to take up the matter to International Trade Commission (ITC) for reconsidering the above rates and ITC’s is slated to make its final injury determinations during end November 2016. The company believes that the determined margin/duty will not have impact on the company’s revenue and profit. Our view: As we had highlighted earlier, with a revenue contribution of 12% from the US markets, we do expect the impact from the duty imposition is negligible, in a worst case scenario (Company Disclosure, Sameer Kattiparambil) Jazeera Steel: OMR0.224 as of 25 October, Rating: Neutral, FV: OMR0.296 per share, MCap: USD74mn, ATMI OM / AJTM.OM
