Jazeera Airways gets nod to build USD46mn new airport terminal in KIA
Jazeera Airways announced that its request for land to build a terminal at Kuwait International Airport has been approved by the Kuwait Council of Ministers. The terminal is a solution proposed by the airline to help ease the congestion at Kuwait International Airport, the country's only primary airport, which is currently operating over capacity, a statement said. The airline said it received a letter from Kuwait's Directorate General for Civil Aviation notifying the airline of the Cabinet's approval for designating land for the construction of the passenger terminal and car park buildings. The project's investment value is KWD14mn (USD46.3mn), and its total construction timeframe is 15 months, the company’s statement added. (Arabian Business)
