International energy services company to cut 500 jobs in Abu Dhabi
Technip is cutting more than 500 jobs in Abu Dhabi this year. This staff reduction is part of global restructuring plan announced last year to adapt to a slowing market. Technip is a company that carries out project management, engineering and construction for the energy industry. It has about 38,000 employees and operates in 48 countries. Technip said last July that it would cut 6,000 jobs and reduce its fleet of oil-service ships. (Bloomberg)
