ICIS report: Petro Rabigh restarts some of its production units
According to ICIS based on sources close to the company, Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) [2380.SE] has restarted its ethylene cracker and ramped up to 70-80% utilisation following the outage that occurred on 18 May 2016. The report adds that the polyethylene (PE) unit has also been restarted but that the polypropylene (PP) unit remains down. The company had previously announced that a sudden power and steam outage at its complex had forced them to shut down several units but that the issue had been fixed and the company was beginning the process of restarting production gradually.
