Hotel occupancy rates to grow at Easter break

Average occupancy rate at Sharm El-Sheikh is expected to grow to 60%, up from its current 20% during the Easter break, with a c10% increase in room rates to an average of EGP600-800/night for Egyptians and USD25-40/night for non-Egyptians. Average occupancy rate at Ain Sokhna is expected to reach 90%, given its proximity to Cairo, while that at Taba and Nuabaa would not exceed 10%, up from its current 5%. Hotel guests will be mostly Egyptians and Arabs. (Al Mal)
