GSK planning to inaugurate new EGP60mn production line in September 2016
Glaxosmithkline (GSK) is planning to inaugurate a new production line at its Cairo plant in September 2016, with an investment cost of EGP60mn, as announced during a meeting between Minster of Investment, Dalia Khorshed, and a GSK delegation headed by Amr Mamdouh, Vice President and Area head of Egypt and Near East at? GSK. The new production line will produce essential medications at affordable prices, according to GSK's management. The EGP60mn investment is part of the company’s broader plan to invest EGP400mn on renovating and expanding its production plants in Egypt until end of 2017. GSK's production plants in Cairo and Giza are one of the company’s biggest plants in the Middle East and North Africa, where at least 15% of production is exported, GSK's management added. (Al Mal)
