Government to settle delayed private sector payments, to be paid by December-end, cancels SAR1tr projects
The Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA) decided on a number of measures to settle delayed private sector payments, implementation will start immediately, to be finalized before December-end, Saudi Arabia Press Agency (SPA) said without giving a size for the delayed payments. Methods of implementation have been discussed, including setting a payment priority and launching an electronic platform. In parallel, CEDA said it has cancelled a large number of projects worth SAR1trn (USD267bn) whose spending does not go in line with the expected economic and development return, according to SPA.
