Government said to lift project bidding ban on Binladin

The Saudi government is allowing Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) to resume bidding for state projects, local Al-Watan newspaper reported on Thursday, citing unnamed sources. In addition, a travel ban was also lifted, which had applied to the contractor's executives and chairman. The newspaper added that the company declined to comment on the matter. Last September, the construction group was sanctioned by King Salman and suspended from obtaining new government contracts after the collapse of a construction crane at Makkah’s Grand Mosque, which killed more than 100 people.
