Government issues 250MW tender for wind energy project in Gulf of Suez
The New and Renewable Energy Authority(NREA) has issued a new tender for the establishment of a 250 MW wind energy project in the Gulf of Suez. The authority had issued the conditions book and will later announce a shortlist of the bidding companies based on the required experience, where the authority plans on receiving technical and financial offers within two months, according to an NREA source. The authority had signed a EUR115mn loan with the European Investment Bank to finance the project.
