GE and Harbin agree on establishing 6,510 MW power plant using clean coal for c.USD8bn, pending approval
General Electric and Harbin Electrical International Company have agreed on establishing a power station that will use clean coal, with a total capacity of 6,510MW and investments of c.USD8bn, according to a source at the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy. The Ministry is currently awaiting approval of the Cabinet of Ministers on the submitted offer, to be signed within two months for the establishment of the first phase of 2,116 MW. Currently, the involved parties are deciding on the location where the project will be established. (Al Borsa)
