Four international institutions, including EBRD, looking to buy stakes in BdC as soon as IPO is announced
Four international financial institutions are looking to buy stakes in Banque du Caire (BdC) as soon as the government announces its IPO, according to the bank’s CEO, Tarek Fayed. He added that EBRD is at the top of the list of institutions looking to buy shares in the bank. He also said that the IPO is expected to take place in 2019, but the final decision on the exact timing would be subject to market conditions and will be set by the bank’s shareholders, management and the Central Bank of Egypt.
