Finance Ministry to allow companies to store tobacco inventory at customs warehouses for 2-3 years
The Ministry of Finance is considering the request of the Chamber of Food Industries’ tobacco division to allow companies to store newly imported tobacco at customs warehouses for up to two years. According to the head of the tobacco division, the Finance Ministry had proposed reducing the allowed storage period to one year from three years currently. The Ministry is also considering keeping the storage period for already-imported tobacco inventory at three years, he added.
