French gas and power group Engie has agreed to buy a 40% stake in National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed) for AED2.8bn from Abu Dhabi;s state investor Mubadala Investment Company. Engie will become Tabreed;s second largest shareholder after Mubadala, which will retain a 42% stake in a deal.
