Energy ministry to offer bids for 700 MW renewable projects at investment cost of SAR1.5bn
The Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources is planning on offering the first renewable energy tenders in Saudi through three bids for a total capacity of 700MW in January 2017, at a total investment cost of SAR1.5bn. The 700 MW capacity will be divided into; i) 400MW of wind energy; and ii) solar energy projects of 300MW, according to Makkah newspaper. (Makkah, Argaam)
