Emirates to upgrade Dubai Washington flight to A380s
Dubai based Emirates Airlines, the number 1 international carrier, said that it will upgrade flights between Dubai and Washington to Airbus A380 superjumbos. This comes a month after United Airlines said it would quit the route following the awarding of a government travel contract to the Gulf carrier via its ally JetBlue Airways Corp. Emirates will swap Boeing’s 777-300ERs currently used for the daily flights to A380s starting next month in order to meet “strong customer demand” as United prepares to end its service on January 25.
