Emaar Misr’s net contracted sales came in at EGP5,044mn in 3Q17 (+51.5% Y-o-Y, +89.1% Q-o-Q) and EGP9,228mn in 9M17 (+59.6% Y-o-Y), according to Emaar Properties’ recently released results presentation. The quarterly figure was likely boosted by strong sales in Marassi in the North Coast. Up to 620 units were launched during the quarter (-38.7% Y-o-Y, +49.4% Q-o-Q), bringing the total to 1,266 in 9M17 (-23.5% Y-o-Y); 258 were delivered (+73.2% Y-o-Y, -30.6% Q-o-Q), bringing total deliveries to 813 in 9M17 (+41.9% Y-o-Y). Backlog stood at EGP26bn as of Sep 2017, up from EGP22.2bn in Jun 2017.
