Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has nominated Elsewedy Electric, among 10 others, to participate in the execution of El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant. Other companies on the list include: i) Orascom Construction; ii) Arab Contractors; iii) Hassan Allam Holding; and iv) Petrojet. It has also been announced that the above-mentioned list will implement c20% of the project, representing a value of USD4bn. Ahmed Elsewedy, Elsewedy Electric’s CEO, stated that he has already begun negotiations with local and international companies to form a consortium to enter into the bid for construction works.
