Eight companies apply for cement licences; figure of three reported by media yesterday is false
The Industrial Development Authority has received eight applications for cement licences, according to Ismail Gaber, IDA head. Yesterday, media sources had falsely reported that only three companies had applied. Applications came in from both local and international companies. The applications’ review should take 60 days, to determine if companies are technically qualified. The total number of licences being offered is 14, with each company eligible for up to two licences each. (Al Mal)
