Egypt to offer 11 concession areas in gas exploration bid round
Egypt’s state gas board EGAS will hold an international bid round for exploration in 11 concession areas by end-June, local newspaper Al-Shorouk said Tuesday, quoting an EGAS official. The official, who was not named, said the concessions would include eight sea areas and three land areas. EGAS said in January it would hold an international bid round by end-June in the east Mediterranean and the Nile Delta without specifying how many concessions would be offered.
