Egypt to evaluate method of further state company sales in Jan
Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maiet, said on Wednesday that the government would evaluate the method of remaining state company sales in Jan following five share offerings planned before end of this year. “The five companies we decided to work on, we decided to see how it would go” Maait said, adding that Egypt would then see whether it could work with strategic investors for further sales. Maiet said shares in two state companies would be offered in Oct, two in Nov, with a fifth share offer in Dec. The government will weigh in Jan how to proceed with further state company sales.
