Egypt planning to float five-six state-owned entities, Finance Minister says
Egypt is preparing to offer five to six entities for listing on the stock exchange within the upcoming period, said Minister of Finance Amr Al Garhy. “The entities are operating at each of the industrial, banking and petroleum sectors,” he added. Al Garhy had previously said that Egypt seeks to raise cEGP6-8bn from offering stakes in publicly owned companies, the Ministry of Petroleum had earlier announced its intention to float 20% stake in eight state–owned companies.
