Petroleum Minister Tarek El Molla and his Jordanian counterpart, Hala Zawati, signed agreements amending prior natural gas purchase and sale agreements and MoUs, according to Al Shorouk. No details were provided as to what the amendments entail. Egypt began exporting natural gas to Jordan last September under a supply resumption agreement, providing as much as 10% of Amman’s natural gas needs. Zawati later said her country is planning to increase the amount to eventually cover a third of the Kingdom’s demand.
