Education Ministry warns private schools against fee hike without permission
The Ministry of Education has warned private schools of strict action if they hike fees without seeking its permission. The warning comes after the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) had imposed the insurance policy on the private sector, including schools, Director of the Office of Private and Foreign Education in Riyadh said. Schools have already been forced to reimburse the excess fees to parents on previous occasions, he said, adding that there are standards and mechanisms for raising fees. (Arab News)
