ECHEM to study USD140mn ammonium sulphate plant

Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) has announced the study of establishing a USD140mn ammonium sulphate complex. Engineer Mohamed Safan, Head of Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM), noted that the complex will have a production capacity that ranges from 450  thousand tonnes per year to 500 thousand tonnes per year. Safan added that the facility will start operating after 30 months from finishing the construction activities, and that the company is currently discussing the project’s financing with local institutions.
