DXB Entertainments (DXBE) has announced that MOTIONGATE is set to open on 16 December, with the “majority of the rides and attractions being available.” A discounted price of AED250 per ticket (original price: AED330 per share) will therefore be offered till the end of March 2017. We believe the news may have a negative effect on revenue in 2017, given the c25% reduction in ticket prices for DXBE’s flagship park, MOTIONGATE, which will be effective for one full quarter, as well as the possibility of deferred visits by potential visitors till the park is fully operational. Our assumptions incorporate AED2.27bn in revenue for 2017e, below management guidance of AED2.45bn, and 6.2mn in visits, also below management’s guidance of 6.7mn.
