Dubai to allow land granted by government to be used as collateral
Dubai is to allow companies to use land granted by the government to be used as collateral. The decree from Dubai’s ruler said that the beneficiary may mortgage the land to any bank or financial institution registered duly in Dubai. Sultan Butti, the director general of the Dubai Land Department, said that the decree would help developers and owners obtain financing from trusted financial institutions and promote growth of investments in the real estate sector.
