Dubai’s financial hub reports 16% growth in companies in 1H16
Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) said that the number of companies based in the hub grew 16% in 1H16. More than 1,500 companies, including 425 financial firms are based in the business park with over 21,000 employees. HSBC said that it is moving is Middle East headquarters to the center this year from Jersey, while Bahrain’s Ahli United Bank also set up in the DIFC. (Bloomberg)
