Dubai inflation slows to 1.5% Y-o-Y, 0.2% M-o-M in May on food prices
Dubai inflation decelerated to 1.48% Y-o-Y in May from 1.94% Y-o-Y in April. On a monthly basis, inflation slowed to 0.19% M-o-M in May from 0.66% M-o-M in April. Food and beverages prices (11% of CPI basket) fell 0.49% Y-o-Y and 1.52% M-o-M in May after accelerating 4.08% Y-o-Y and 0.61% M-o-M in April. Housing and utility inflation (44% of CPI basket) edged down to 3.34% Y-o-Y in May from 3.99% Y-o-Y April, and slowed to 0.07% M-o-M in May from 0.26% M-o-M in April. (Bloomberg)
