Dubai hotels occupancies down 4.7pp Y-o-Y to 77% in September
Dubai hotel supply rose by 5.6% Y-o-Y against a demand rise of 0.6% in September, according to preliminary STR data. Average occupancy fell by 4.7pp to 76.6%, while ADR declined by 10.6% to AED498. RevPAR also fell by 14.8% Y-o-Y to AED381. The report noted that September witnessed less events in 2017 compared to last year, and that the Eid Al Adha holiday shifted from September 11–18 in 2016 to August 31–September 3 this year.
