Danone finalises deal to fully acquire dairy producer Halayeb in EGP120 million deal
Danone has finalised the acquisition of a 100% stake in Halayeb Company for Dairy Products, according to an announcement. The deal reportedly closed at EGP120 million(no official word from companies on the deal value), as reported earlier in December 2015; however, Danone has requested a deadline extension to finalise the legal and financial work. Halayeb’s product portfolio is focused largely on cheeses, according to its website. Also, Danone had shared earlier its plans to maintain the company’s brand, katilo, that has been in the market for almost 100 years. (Enterprise, Al Borsa)
