Oman’s crude oil, which is traded on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME), has surged ahead by nearly 100% from the multi-year lows set during January, as the upward momentum continued. Front-month July DME Oman futures contract was marked at USD47.16 per barrel, up USD0.52 on the previous close and the highest exchange marker price since last October. The lowest price for over a decade was set in January 2016 at USD23.72 per barrel, said a DME release. (Times of Oman)
