Consumer Protection Agency raises concern over mobile operators’ attempt to restrict the recently-announced additional airtime on recharge cards to their own networks only
The Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) has raised concerns over mobile network operators’ (MNOs) attempt to restrict the recently-announced additional airtime on recharge cards to their networks only. MNOs had announced a 10% increase in the prices of mobile recharge cards, of which 6% will be directed towards the value-added tax (VAT), while the balance (4%) would be in the form of additional airtime to consumers.
