Consultant hired to advise on USD20bn government project cuts

The government of Saudi Arabia has reportedly hired a consultant to advise on its plans to cancel cUSD20bn of projects. Projects worth USD69bn will be under review, previously awarded by the Ministries of Transport, Heath, Education and Housing. The consultant’s role will be to advise on ways to cut costs or privatise these projects. (Bloomberg)
