Commerce and Investment Ministry seeks public views on bankruptcy system
The Ministry of Commerce and Investment held a workshop attended by a group of specialists and representatives of other ministries and government agencies to introduce the bankruptcy system, as part of the ministry’s plan to modernise trade and investment sector governance, in line with National Transformation Plan 2020 and Vision 2030. Topics include: preventive settlement, financial reorganisation conduction, liquidation, procedures for small debtors, and performed administrative liquidation. The workshop aimed to inform the public on the general objective of the system, to seek their opinion and suggestions. It was also intended to encourage local and foreign investors to invest in the Saudi market and enhance the confidence in credit and financial transactions. (Arab News)
