Civil Aviation Authority to launch four new companies
General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) head, Abdel Hakim Al Tamimi, has announced plans to launch four new companies under the Civil Aviation Holding Company. The companies will be initiated with the purpose of boosting efficiency in the country’s civil aviation sector. Two of the companies will be established for the purpose of running the country’s airports, one for Jeddah airports and the second for the rest of the country’s airports. The remaining two companies will be geared towards aerial navigation and IT, respectively. They are also examining the potential of a third licence for airport ground services, Al Tamimi added.
