China Eximbank to finance USD2.6bn large-scale Attaqa hydroelectric plant
The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) signed a financing agreement with the Export-Import Bank of China (Eximbank) for the USD2.6bn, 2,400MW Attaqa pumped-storage hydroelectric plant, government sources said. EEHC is expecting to finalise the contracts for the project with China’s Sinohydro, the company developing the plant, no later than late June.
